[EN] Phases: The illustration "The God of the Moon" portrays the story of Khonsu, the god of the moon, who revives a boy named Guinho with the aim of achieving his immortality. Over the years, the moon symbol on his chest changes, drastically altering his way of life.
To create the exhibition project with the theme of "Phases" and "Change", I sought references from my daily life, such as the game "League of Legends". From this, the idea of creating a character that fit the theme emerged, considering its symbolism and lines.
[PT-BR]: Outra referência que utilizei foi a série "Cavaleiro da Lua", da Marvel, na qual o personagem é dividido em três partes, e uma delas é o deus da lua e reencarnação, Khonsu. A partir dos conhecimentos prévios sobre a simbologia da lua, decidi retratar cada fase da vida como um estado da lua.
Pesquisei profundamente e retratei as fases da lua para representar as fases da vida, buscando tornar a ilustração o mais fiel possível à realidade. Além disso, utilizei técnicas de desenho digital e sombreamento para trazer mais profundidade e realismo à obra.
Ao final do processo, obtive uma ilustração que transmite de forma envolvente as fases da vida e as mudanças que ocorrem ao longo dela, por meio da simbologia da lua e da história de Khonsu.
[EN]Another reference I used was the Marvel series "Moon Knight", in which the character is divided into three parts, and one of them is the god of the moon and reincarnation, Khonsu. Based on previous knowledge of lunar symbolism, I decided to portray each phase of life as a lunar state.
I thoroughly researched and depicted the phases of the moon to represent the stages of life, seeking to make the illustration as faithful as possible to reality. Additionally, I used digital drawing and shading techniques to bring more depth and realism to the work.
At the end of the process, I obtained an illustration that compellingly conveys the stages of life and the changes that occur throughout it, through the symbolism of the moon and the story of Khonsu.
