Zhu- Chinese chopstick packaging design

This is a hand drawing packaging design for Chinese chopsticks. As a Chinese, I have a clear knowledge of traditional Chinese culture. I designed the packaging after an in-depth study of the cultural background of chopsticks to create a packaging that is both practical and ornamental. In terms of practicality, the design not only holds the chopsticks, but the top of the pack can also be used as a chopstick holder, which is an utensil that would be used to hold chopsticks when dining out. In terms of appearance, the visuals include a number of Chinese cultural elements, such as the colour palette of the illustration, which comes from the historical Dunhuang murals, the similarity of the main concept of the illustration to the shape of the chopsticks, which comes from Chinese mythology, and the cultural elements in the illustration, such as auspicious clouds and classical Chinese motifs. All of these reflect the cultural values behind the chopsticks and add to the visual impact of the packaging.
