My personal representation - Comic as an identity?

My personal representation - Comic as an identity?

For those twenty years I was brought to this world I never properly thought about my personal qualities or features that can influence or even attract the people I met / will meet. Nevertheless my curiosity what others think about me was never behind and I was always intrigued in those kind of conversations. We are human beings and it’s in our nature want to know who we really are. Of course there are cases that some people are not much into discovering themselves. They rather prefer to be observing beings and stay the same, simply enjoy the life without any development in themselves. I envy them one thing, they live without caring too much about their posture or attitude to their friends or society itself. They have simpler life.

Fortunately I’m not this type of guy. I like who am I. People often tell me that I care too much and that I should take a break from things or go out with them. From the beginning of my artist journey I felt responsibility. That I cannot break my promise that one day I will reach that one goal I have ever dreamed of. Setting career in film industry as an storyboard or concept art artist. In addition I try to stay true and keep trust of people I care about. But as everyone can know, trust is not free.

And know something about my visual features that covers or identify my identity. One of my central visual features are my comic drawings. I never held anything else in my hands than comic books during my childhood. I was blown away by it. Especially by the precision and beauty of every drawing. I had few favourite artists in comics field. They were so different from each other, the style, visual story telling etc… They had only one thing in common and that was patience and humility. I’m glad that someone led me to have those qualities and taught me how to keep them alive. The comic drawings also portrays my need to keep things in order like the panels on each page. I never liked chaos  in my life I always try to organise things. Also when I draw something comic stylish people told me that somehow it belongs to me and I should keep on doing it. It’s interesting that it binds with the beginning of my comic book drawings when I was at the one of the most famous comic book artist exhibition in Prague. Suddenly something amazing struck me when I was there and I felt that I need to teach myself how to draw like that and continue in his legacy. Unfortunately he died in coma one year later so it got me more tough and determined to make it happen… He became my icon...
