Finished Product!
The sails are a 2x2 Rib Knit, the sides and deck of the ship are a Vertical Stripe Knit, the net is a sample knitted with a loose racking and transferring technique, and the waves are knitted with a press-off structure.
The skull and cross bone on the top sail is hand crocheted, the cannons and the mermaid attached to the front of the ship were both hand carved and wrapped in various yarns. In the net there are small fishes that are cut and sewn from a plain knit structure and stuffed with filling material.
