New York - February 2014

Last month brought some exciting opportunities for me, particularly in the form of a visit to New York City and Washington.  Over the course of five days, I aimed to visit the obvious landmarks and capture the hustle and bustle of the city that never sleeps.  The Statue of Liberty, Manhattan skyline, Times Square and a view from the 102nd floor of the Empire State Building to name just a few of the places I visited.

These photos will now feature in my final A2 Photography project, titled "The Built Environment".  I will use digital manipulation software, such as Photoshop, to enhance these photos and create images that are aesthetically pleasing and interesting to the eye.

Watch this space for New York Edited coming soon.
View from the 102nd Floor of the Empire State Building.  One of my better shots, but still doesn't do justice to the level of vibrancy in the city at 10:30pm.
I also took the opportunity to take the boat trip over to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island.  Although, I didn't stop off at the statue or Ellis Island, I was still able to capture some good shots from aboard the boat.
Times Square feels like the busiest place on Earth - it really is the City that Never Sleeps.
Statue of Liberty - View from boat
Manhattan Skyline - taken aboard the boat from the Statue of LIberty heading back to the mainland.
