NTU Platform Magazine's Fresher Edition 2022

The Brief: There was a call out for some members to get involved with producing designs to illustrate their articles. I put myself forward to design their news and alumni article.
Design Process
I decided to add a motion blur to the text to reflect the speed and movement of the rides, and blue to reflect it being mainly a night fair.
I initially experimented with text warping around the goose to illustrate it being described in the text, but then realised it could go with goose fair to reflect the article title.
I was going to go for the first alumni magazine article design because the purple and red just had a NTU feel, but I also liked the magazine articles with the cream background. This is because they carried an historian look, reflecting the historical sound to 'alumni'.
However, I decided to go for the last article design because it clearly emphasised the graduate hat. I collaborated with the editor on it. She helped make tweaks to the layout of the text, and swapped the initial image with another one.
