These designs are inspired by the 20th century and the discrepancy that is contrasted in society now. I went out to look for the correct combination of font and imagery to balance them both in which would seem old fashioned from a modern perspective.
Red font contrasts and clashes with the image.
Centre of visual interest is dominated by the masthead.
Above: This is a crisp image that only has colour tones in order to add the effect of vintage.
Below: This image has the elements from above but includes graining to increase its history and the visual interest towards the audience.
The same concept as the black and white copy but this is based towards a female crowd with the use of light colour and attractive elements.
