The project started with an object- any object. I chose a bag. Drawing this bag, I started to give it a personality and from that I got a lady. This lady was then carved into a linopad and used for linprint which was then used as a base for further exploration.
The opening of the bag is swallowing up a young girl - the Lady wants youth and will do anything to get it.
This lady is someone you might have met or someone you know. She spends all her money on fashion, make up, designer everything and what she really wants to buy is youth. But no matter what she does, she can't buy the beauty she yearns for.
