Angry Cuttlefish is a runner style game I worked on with Matthew Guzdial and Sheena Patel. The game focuses around a cuttlefish who is enraged by other fish ruining her teaparty and goes on a rampage. She can collect different ink bullet powerups and her rage gradually increases until she finally enters a brief full rage mode (in which she becomes a merciless destroyer of all fish around her).

On this project I had roles both on the art and programming side. I made an initial proof of concept prototype in Unity that was used to pitch and build our team, then I shifted my focus to concept art while Matthew took on the role of lead programmer. I worked on the concept and final vector art of the main character and background, with attention to breaking up the forms in Adobe Illustrator in a way that was easily animatable.

A lot of the other programming and setup work I did was in visual and user feedback. I worked on finishing touches like adding a shake and sweat drop to the smaller fish as they get closer to the player, feedback for the player and enemies getting hit and polish work such as a rage glow and background parallax.
