Nuit Blanche 2010

Nuit Blanche

Nuit Blanche (French pronunciation: [nɥi ˈblɑ̃ʃ]; All-Nighter, literally White Night, in French) is an annual all-night or night-time arts festival. A Nuit Blanche will typically have museums, private and public art galleries, and other cultural institutions open and free of charge, with the centre of the city itself being turned into a de facto art gallery, providing space for art installations, performances (music, film, dance, performance art), themed social gatherings, and other activities.
Brief/ Objective: Attend Nuit Blanche and create a book to promote the festival

The objective of this assignment was to attend Nuit Blanche and an area of our choice (different areas had installations, art galleries, performances and many more activities and gatherings). By photo-documenting the whole night and capturing the energy and creativity of the city being turned into an art factory, showcasing Nuit Blanche would give newcomers a visual of what the festival is like.

Once the first phase of photography and research on Nuit Blanche was done, the next step was to create and design a book for the final product.

For this project, blurb was used, and a page style template was followed for their print specs.
