This project has been developed at Bigrock Training Center as an introduction to Studio Rendering and Hard Surface Modeling, as well as basic compositing tecniques for still images.
The headphones are modeled In Autodesk Maya and rendered in Mental Ray. 
One of the objective was to achieve a good level of detail and realism, maintaining low render times suitable for animation.
As result we have developed a very fast and efficient workflow for Maya wich works out of the box - no plugins needed.
Render times are around 5 minutes per frame (1080p full HD), even with more complex models.
