Stop Loan Sharks

These are a set of posters for a live brief given to me by the Illegal Money Lending Team for their 'Stop Loan Sharks' Campaign. The overall objective of the campaign was to make men contact them to report loansharks as statistics show men are less likely to contact the team compared to women about issues with a loanshark. I wanted my designs to have a masculine look so I decided to use a bold red and black colour scheme, using white to have a bold contrast for the main copy of the design. I wanted to experiment with expressive typography for these designs making it look as though the type is cracking and slowing breaking down due to the pressure of the debt getting ontop of the person. The black '£££' in the designs resembles the Loan Sharks, whereas, the white resembles the victims.

The first design shows the loanshark pressuring the victim and shows them trying to crack.

The second design shows the 'victim' is getting more confident, and to destroy the debt, not themselves. therefore they are placed ontop of the loanshark, actually cracking them instead of the other way round.

The final design shows the loanshark being trapped in the middle, the top of the design represents the 'Stop Loan Shark' team, and the bottom the victim so they are working together to stop the loan shark fully. 'LIFE' is not cracked and it fully solid, this is to represent the victim has got their life back due to reporting the loanshark.
