Universal Declaration of Human Rights
Project
I was tasked with creating a booklet responding to an Article from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. I chose to focus on Article 16 and create an informative booklet with a fold out poster.
Article 16:
1  Men and women of full age, without any limitation due to race, nationality or religion, have the right to marry and to found a family. They are entitled to equal rights as to marriage, during marriage and at its dissolution.
2  Marriage shall be entered into only with the free and full consent of the
intending spouses.
3  The family is the natural and fundamental group unit of society and
is entitled to protection by society and the State.
About
I used a locking fold to symbolise the prison that child brides are forced into. I also used frail paper on the front to show the vulnerability of a child. I have info-graphics on the fold out sections and detailed information on the main parts of the booklet.
The booklet has perforated edges along the bottom of the poster so it can be torn out and put on the wall.
