I am focusing on how vulnerability and honesty create lasting bonds in relationships. I value relationships where we can be present in two spaces, online and in person. I will explore the ways human beings can allow themselves to become accessible and accountable in relationships, the levels at which we view each other in partnerships, and how we in turn express that.
I am encompassing the feelings of being close and intimate with another person in all spaces by using photo manipulation and coding to glitch an image, showing the connection between the real world vs virtual. The work expresses the ways that honesty and vulnerability define a bond and create a security that is dependent on both parties. By portraying my own experiences in an exposed and sensitive manner I will open up the conversation about the emotional bond we share with others.
