Crocheted set of sunflower coasters and potholders in cotton DK weight yarn.
The original pattern was for the coasters and individual leaves. Pattern was modified for pot holders by a double crochet inc. each round for the center and the petals applied by the same pattern as the coasters.
Pattern for the leaves is based on a leaf applique design. The band is created by chaining stitches to the desired length and using slip stitches on the return. The leaves were then sewed onto the band.
For the pot holders, two leaf appliques were created as well as a small loop to hand the holders up if desired. The loop was developed with the same method as the leaf band.
