The Wind in the Willows Puffin book cover re-design

The brief was to re-design the Puffin classic ' The Wind in the Willows', by Kenneth Grahame.

The main characters have been depicted so they can be identified, without needing to show the whole of the image. The colours used behind each have been specifically chosen. Grey symbolises strength of character, authority and maturity for Badger. Purple symbolises royalty, luxury and passion for Toad. Yellow represents joy, cheerfulness and intellect for Mole. Lastly blue represents calmness, affection and integrity for Ratty.
