Lost in Translation holds a special place in many hearts (myself included). This film has inspired my career and stylistic preferences. If you haven't seen the film, Lost in Translation has a lot more to offer than stunning cityscape bokeh. Dialogue between Bob (Bill Murray) and Charlotte (Scarlett Johansson) is effortlessly wise and grounded.
I was a high school senior at the time of watching this film, and so naturally, I strongly related with Charlotte's uncertainty. Bill Murray's character brings assurance to those hyper-relatable moments, while growing through challenges of his own.
