Tawunita Insurance Company, situated in Saudi Arabia, boasts a meticulously designed office space that was crafted with utmost care after conducting a comprehensive case study of their Jeddah headquarters, specifically the sales department. Through personal interactions with employees and gaining insights into their requirements, the office layout was thoughtfully tailored to cater to their needs.
the consept behind the design is the umbrella, BUT WHY THE UMBRELLA ?
Insurance is a means of facing the risks that a person is exposed to in his life and money, and it is a prior agreement that gives its holders protection, and the same is the case with an umbrella, as it is a means of facing the risks to which a person is exposed (heat of the sun, rain and snow), but it provides protection only to the bearer and requires prior planning.
The umbrella consists of 6 triangles, all of these triangles are placed at the top of the umbrella , forming the shape of a hexagon.When the hexagons is collected together, we will have a pattern that i used in designing the office
in the office working mechanism there are a lot of clients getting in and out all day, because of that there is a need for many meetings rooms and waiting area, so when getting into the office and next to the reception desk is the waiting area and almost all the way around it is the meeting room separated by a glass wall
In this wall separating the meeting room and the hot desking area, I designed a cladding of the hexagonal pattern so that the shapes are opened and when they reach the glass they begin to close, represented by the upper view of the closed umbrellas, This pattern has been used in different main areas around the office.
As you can see in the hot desking area on the right, I used the reflection technique, so in the ceiling and floor I used the blue color, and in the areas between them I used neutral colors.
in this staff lounge area, there are a lot of textures have been mixed, the mate fabric from the couch, the fluffy rug, and right on the bookshelf is a combination of the same color but different textures glossy PVC on the back of the shelves and the shelves it’s self-made out of mate painted wood, In the kitchen cabinetry, I used stainless steel to give it a clean and modern look.
