Manhattan Living: Morning til Night

am i a small fish in a big pond? Or are we all collectively a large fish in a small pond?

When im walking down the street, i try and notice everything that passes me: details in the buildings, the parts where roots are beginning to grow, the noises everywhere, snippets of conversations. Other times, ill block out all the noise and listen to my music or a podcast. There are days where i listen more closely to the inner vs outer noise. Like everything it requires balance. Too much outer noise and you lose yourself. Too much inner noise and you still manage to lose yourself in a different way. Both are good, as long as you maintain the self awareness to pull yourself back and go the opposite way when you need a break.

Living in nyc is like no other metro. Feels like its built differently. You’re surrounded by noises and people, meet so many friends, but everyone seems to understand the importance of solo time to recharge.

Perfect for an extroverted introvert like me.

In an urban setting, there’s a lot of selfies, street photography, photos of people, food, etc. Maybe more selfies than most, but thats self care right?
