The Catcher in the Rye

Requirements: Use 1 - 3 words from a quote in the book for the cover. Title is to only be on the spine.
I chose to recreate the cover of "The Catcher In The Rye". My intentions were to depict Holden Caulfield's feeling of isolation due to not being noticed, along with his characteristics such as chain smoking and his notable red hunting hat.

I chose to recreate the cover of "The Catcher In The Rye". My intentions were to depict Holden Caulfield's feeling of isolation due to not being noticed, along with his characteristics such as chain smoking and his notable red hunting hat.
The ashes, and cigarettes were photographen and arranged by myself. The hat illustration was done by myself. All writing on the front, spine, and back cover (except for the Common Sense Media quote) are written by myself and scanned in to acheive messy teenaged writing.
