The Bolton Lace Centre

This is a third year project based in Nottingham Lace Centre. The Project brief was to create a civic centre and this building is a  'Lace Centre' to bring back history of the site as it is based where a lace factory used to be, before it was bombed in the war.

The building has many uses including:
- A classroom to learn about lace (which can also double as a place for evening classes, community meetings and room for local business meetings).
- Workshops for making lace and also for local universities and businesses to use for model making.
- Hand lace workshops for bobbin making lace.
-Gallery and exhibition space for showcasing lace and also local community/ university work.
-Cafe overlooking Nottingham
-Gift shop for local gifts and lace products.
-Offices/ Reception
-Toilet facilities.
