There are a number of national parks in Northern India, but Ranthambore is one of the most famous. About 130 km from Jaipur is the Sawai Madhopur district of southeastern Rajasthan, where the park is located.
Ranthambore National Park is a major wildlife tourist destination that has drawn the attention of many wildlife photographers and lovers from around the world. It was once considered one of the famous hunting grounds of the Maharajas of Jaipur.
There are 392 square kilometres of land covered by Ranthambore National Park. Nearby sanctuaries include Mansingh Sanctuary and Kaila Devi Sanctuary. In India, the park is famous for its tigers, which makes it one of the best places to see these majestic predators in their natural habitat. You can easily see tigers hunting during the day and taking care of their young even during the daytime.
