Main Work:
Sketches + Notes. The central theme for this room is nature.
References + Basic Demonstration of Theme in Minecraft.
The skyroof is the centerpiece of the room, as it is a literal window to the world outside, and for natural light to flow inside. The black and white colours on the wall replicate a zebra’s hide, serving as a backdrop to the sofa. It reinforces the central theme of nature by using an organic material, while providing a clear colour contrast against the green wallpaper. The wallpaper's green shades compliment the orange floor and encourage eyes to look up to the centerpiece through its vertical pattern.
Finished Product in Minecraft.
More details were added, including paintings which add depth, detail and character. Shelves are made up of wood to reinforce the central theme of nature by using an organic material. The density of furniture is clustered more underneath the skyroof so cilents can utilise the natural light to work. If the natural light is too glaring, cilents can pull down the shades to cover a portion of or the entire skyroof. At night, the lamp is an alternative light source that provides soft light to diffuse hard shadows.

Pixel Crux:
"Pixel Crux is the web app filled with insightful, powerful calculators and tools to help you stay ahead in Supercell's mobile strategy games." - Pixel Crux

I use Pixel Crux to make maps for a mobile game called Brawl Stars and subsequently share these maps to the Brawl Stars community on social media such as Discord and Reddit. On Discord, Brawl Stars developers will host "map-making" competitions where winners can get their map in-game.

I want to put this inside my portfolio because I feel that making maps for Brawl Stars introduced me to architecture design. "Map-making" for Brawl Stars requires competition winners to both balance aesthetic and gameplay, which is similar to how architects and designers balance form and function.

I wrote a document going more in-depth about the aspects of Brawl Stars "map-making" that you can view by clicking HERE and have created some maps of my own:

Other Works:
(Left) Photograph taken at Tiong Bahru. A residental building with interesting staircases that perform as a balcony too.

(Right) A simplified recreation of the photograph in ROBLOX Studio, a creation engine that allows users to model using simple shapes and meshes.

(Left) Photograph taken from my window. Multiple HDB flats after a repaint.

(Middle) A recreation of one HDB flat before the repaint because I preferred the old colours and wanted to take them down. Recreated in Welcome to ROBLOX Building, a sandbox building experience that allows users to create using simple shapes.

(Right) A ground-level perspective of the recreation, showing the depth and curves of the center windows. The blocks beside my player avatar is my colour palette.
