This digital fashion campaign was one of my first "big" projects that I art directed independently. Ackermans wanted to promote their exclusive African-inspired range and the brief was pretty simple – come up with a concept that elevated the collection in a way that they haven't showcased it before.
Introducing #OwnUrSpace - a street style concept that was all about being unapologetically bold. I wanted the creative to be colourful and the styling to be slightly OTT and the overall mood to carry a sense of African-pride.
While the silhouettes were typically more semi-formal in design, we wanted to encourage the Ackermans customer to style this range THEIR way, and to incorporate these loud beautiful pieces into everyday-wear – where ever and whenever.
