Columbus Weddings (formerly Columbus Bride) is Central Ohio’s finest bridal publication, published twice each year. Columbus Weddings offers practical and local information about every you need to plan a wedding in Central Ohio.

I began working on Bride in 2014 as a graphic designer. In 2015, the magazine was rebranded as Columbus Weddings and I collaborated on a new logo with my team. By 2016, I assumed the role of Art Director of Weddings.

For Weddings, I contributed to every aspect of the publication process. I collaborated with the editor to generate story ideas. We encourage local couples to submit their own weddings for every issue. I organized our collection of audience-submitting photos, created contact sheets for the editor and chose images for print from this pool of 4,000+ photos each issue.

In 2020, Columbus Weddings underwent a redesign. I worked closely with the editor to reimagine the entire book. We restructured the magazine, renamed sections, refined our color palette and refreshed our fonts. We came up with three words to guide us: Elegant, Upscale, Informative.

We encouraged local photographers and event coordinators to submit styled photo shoots for print consideration. After the editor and I chose a shoot for publication, I selected the images and design the feature package for the print issue.
