La strada per Urbino (The road to Urbino) is a tribute to the writer Paolo Volponi and to his novel La strada per Roma (The road to Rome), which takes place in Urbino. In this book the city and the main characters are often described through the brightness and the darkness of the city. But what kind of lights and shadows can you bump into the narrow alleys of Urbino? The project aims to translate the lights and the shadows of the city alleys in a sort of «language» — the same depicted by Volponi — highlighted in a path through 24 significant city spots. The final result is a reflection about the city and its brightness, guided by the words of Volponi.

La strada per Urbino è un omaggio allo scrittore Paolo Volponi e al suo romanzo La strada per Roma, ambientato ad Urbino. In questo libro la città e i principali personaggi vengono spesso descritti attraverso la luminosità e il buio presenti in città. Ma che tipo di luci e ombre ci si può imbattere negli stretti vicoli di Urbino?
Il progetto tenta di tradurre le luci e le ombre dei vicoli cittadini in una sorta di «linguaggio» — lo stesso raffigurato da Volponi — evidenziato da un percorso in 24 luoghi cittadini. Il risultato finale è una riflessione sulla città e sulla sua luminosità, guidati dalla scrittura di Volponi.
