Art direction, Concept & Design: Khoo Xin Le
"What is not visible is not invisible" is an exhibition located in National Museum of Singapore, Exhibition Galleries, Basements from 7th October 2021 to 19th February 2021. This exhibition’s artworks are selected from French Regional Collections of Contemporary Art. There are 34 artworks, 32 by French and 2 international artists. They encourage the audience to interact with and explore the intangible, the emotional and the volatile relationship between the abstract, the organic and the structured.
Visual and Design Concept
Instead of interacting with the exhibition's artworks only, I would like to bring this concept into the brochure too. The style of the brochure design is very abstract and minimalist. Besides that, holographic color is flowing around the brochure in organic shapes. Holographic style is used to connect with the exhibition theme "light". The brochure design is playing around with semi transparent paper to bring out the exhibition's title meaning when consumers remove the middle part of the brochure, the word "What is not visible is not invisible" will appear.
