This is my homage to the Japanese creators of this process.

Shou Sugi Ban

I stumbled across this finish while trying to capture the feeling of age I saw in the olive groves of Ithica.

I spent many hours of my own time developing this process, fine tuning the technique so it could be applied 

to more delicate objects.  Hopefully my photographs  help capture 

it's beauty.
