When I was first introduced to the art of the risograph, I was very confused as to how it worked and why it was so different from standard printers. But through this project of collaging magazine cutouts, I was able to learn more in depth about how this truly unique piece of technology operated. Risographs use a stencil-and-ink based system, scanning a work to create an image separated into two colors based off of contrast levels within the master image.
