Zulu Impi inspired Samurai

For our first project in my Digital Illustration class at the Art Institute of Seattle, we had to create a samurai mask out of the objects that either represented us as a person or objects that we carry on us on a daily basis. For my objects, I used my iPhone, my hot wheel, my car key, my Nike Fuelband, and my watch. I wanted to have an African Warrior inspired feel to it. So I made my objects look more golden. I like how it turned out.
Andy Warhol Interpretation

For our second week of Digital Illustration at the Art Institute of Seattle, our project was to make our own interpretations of Andy Warhol's work, specifically his multi-image works. I thought it was a cool project and I had a lot of fun with it. I manipulated the photos in ways that I just thought was cool, yet they reflect my personality a little bit.
Glamour Shot

This is image 1 of 2 for my Digital Illustration project. I had to edit my self portrait with glamour retouching techniques. I cleaned up my face a lot and then dropped myself into a new background.

Non-Glamour Shot

This is the 2nd image for my 3rd project at the Art Institute. For this portrait, we had to make this portrait more gritty and not as glamourous as the image above. I preferred doing this image more than the other one simply because I had more fun creating this image.
Project Ride

For this project, we had to do a composite of a car. I really enjoyed this project because I think of myself as an automotive photographer and this was a technique that I have been trying to learn. This is my friend's car that I originally took a picture of at Alki. I moved it into a parking lot.
Surrealism X Fauvism

For this project, we had to combine 2 different styles of art into one image. My 2 styles were surrealism and fauvism. This was pretty dificult for me because I didn't really know what to do for it. So I ended up with this, an alley way leading to a painted picture. The surrealism is the alleyway itself leading to something other than the other side of the road. The fauvism is the painting. I tried to emulate Matisse with my painting because he was big with fauvism.
