The Elder God Wars was a year long saga in RuneScape full of lore-heavy questlines and epic boss battles. My team and I built this RuneScape sub-brand and art style to advertise all things Elder God Wars.

THE ELDER GODS
The Gods themselves do not appear in the game but have sent generals to represent them in battle. We created faction symbols representing each God and the elemental property they each held.
COLOUR AND THEME
The setting of the Elder God Wars is Senntisten, a city devoted to the God Zaros who plays a key part in the early part of the saga. The overriding theme for our branding ties back to the purple themes of Zaros and the city.
ART STYLE
I wanted to create an episodic movie poster style series of illustrations for the Elder God Wars saga. The four general are the centre-piece of this where we tie the symbol, the God, the general and the elemental theme together. For this series we kept a central composition with lots of symmetry to tie all images together.
