Comfortability Project Description:
Winter Session Rethinking Seating course at Rhode Island School of Design presented students with the opportunity to explore seating in a variety of different facets. The first project called for students to observe and explore seating in public spaces, and the influence that seating has an individuals interaction with others around them.We were prompted to make come up with two designs, one that promotes comfort and one that inhibits comfort. I made two 1/8th scale models that express my interpretation of comfortability and uncomfortability in a social setting.
