The Witch and the Writer
19 year old Ellie Heart lives in a colorful village in the northern part of England.
She has just finished highschool and wants to go to college in the fall to study creative writing.
The only thing is, it's summer vacation and she finds herself in the middle of a writing block.
Around 20 years ago, in this very village she lives in, had also lived a writer and his wife.
Mr. and Mrs. Dorrodent had led quite ordinary lives and they had owned a bookshop together.
Everything was normal until one day Mr. Dorrodent went missing.
And about a couple days later the boy across the street named Alexander Dowden Emley went missing too.
Rumours about Mrs. Dorrodent having something to do with it went around the village.
But she was never convicted of any crime since there hadn't been any evidence.
Out of curiosity for this "folk tale" that has been going around in her village, Ellie decides to investigate.
In the second hand thrift store down the road, which stands on the same spot the Dorrodent's bookshop used to be, she finds a strange looking book radiating light.
The book appears to be magical and once she opens it she gets sucked in.
Ellie falls into the storybook and then everything surrounding her turns black and white.
When she walks through a magical forrest she discovers a campsite.
She stumbles upon Mr Dorrodent and Alexander who apparently have had been stuck in this book for over 20 years.
Will they find a way out together?
And what sacrifices will they have to make to take control of the magic inside....
