Inspired by the rectangular shape of the frames and the typography of the initials of the company owner's name, we use the Golden Ratio methodology in sizes, spacing and dimensions. Technique comes down to aesthetics, creating a sense of beauty through harmony and proportion.
Two Gestalt design strategies were used, which are: Proximity and Similarity. A grouping was made in the common shapes to have a rectangular format and to preserve the reading of the acronyms, as well as the high standard products/services of the company. This methodology is commonly constituted by its similarity between similar shapes, as they tend to form a much greater visual proximity than non-equal forms.
MORE ABOUT THE TECHNIQUES:
The Golden Ratio is an algebraic constant represented by a number to three decimal places: 1.618. In this constant, the ratio between a number and its successor is the same ratio that it has to the sum of its predecessors, as in the Fibonacci sequence, where a number is always the sum of the two preceding numbers. This type of harmony has been used for thousands of years: in the Pyramids of Giza, in the Parthenon of Athens, in Michelangelo's The Creation of Adam, on the Sistine Chapel ceiling, in Da Vinci's Mona Lisa and many other works.
According to Gestalt, elements very close to each other, fitting together harmoniously, are processed in our brain as conjoint elements, or units. It is the principle of proximity. Furthermore, if such elements are similar ones further strengthen our brain to read a single object.
