This was probably one of my favorite projects of 2020. I had a camera, 50mm lens, and was asked to be creative. I used no flash, bounce boards, had no locations set out beforehand, and photographed the "portrait" shots with constant lights and a bed sheet for the background + Photoshop. These are the results.
The Photoshoot
We knew the mood we wanted, but weren't sure what the cover would look like...so we took a couple of hours, and snapped photos at the beach, and a "portrait session" at the end of the night for a clean white backdrop. My favorite photos of the group were the photos in red. We were walking by a parking garage, and it caught our eye...the red light in the background was stunning. So I took my iPhone out, turned the flash on, and bounced it off a poster card to illuminate his face. I had no flash with me 🤷🏽♂️ but it worked!
