BRIEF
The brief was to redesign the packaging for ‘Feel The Heat’ hot sauces, by revamping the brand and creating a uniquely interesting packaging experience.
BOX DESIGN
The box design is centered around the concept of the bottles being little matches which fit in a comically large match box. This packaging is strong in it’s playfulness by having such a large matchbox which would stand out on a shelf and want to be picked up by a consumer.
LABELS
The label designs are inspired by vintage Mexican designs, working well with hot sauces being traditionally Mexican,and styles of matchboxes also borrowing from this aesthetic.
BOTTLE DESIGN
The bottle follows the story by being shaped like little matchsticks. Additionally, the spice level and state of the bottle are corresponding - the 'mild' flavour is an unlit match, the 'hot' flavour is a slightly burnt match and the 'fire' flavour is on fire.
