THE DESIGN.
Driven by the approach of reduction without missing a single piece, the interior design of the 2023 BMW 7 series became the most modern and luxurious pinnacle of the brand. The holistic interior was inspired by the clear asthetics of architecture und furniture design: the floating curved screen on a table-like dashboard, the doors as a automotive interpretation of side boards and the seats as a most comfortable lounge sofa. All curated by the perfect compostion of light and textile design.
One of the highlights - and most difficult part to design - is the BMW interaction bar. Every single facet was design by hand and to achieve the perfect refraction of light between the glass.
It was truly an honor to design the 7th generation of THE 7 as a team with my colleaque Karl Johannson. Thanks a lot to all the other colleaques behind the project and the support over the last four years.

LIGHT THE WAY.
Feel connected with an all-new Curved Display and dashboard design, which features the BMW Interaction Bar. This faceted glass bar provides both ambient and dynamic illumination – integrating controls for air vents, the glove compartment, and more. A larger Panoramic Sky Lounge LED Roof dazzles with its graphic design, brighter light intensity, dynamic LED control, and customizable colors.
