Wunder: Travel Companion for Locals

Wunder: Travel Companion for Locals
Designing a Complementary UX System.

When shaping digital experiences, of major concern is the consideration of information flow between the user and the product—bearing in mind that certain form factors are better at accommodating simplicity while others are better at managing complexity. The design of these experiences should consider how content is best presented to enable understanding, task support, and the satisfactory accomplishment of goals. We designed a goal centric system that includes two complementary product interfaces, one dealing with the simplicity of tasks and the other, complexity.
– Design Brief by Brian Stone, Platform Leader

A travel companion designed mainly for locals, Wunder is a system that enables people in Singapore to explore the city with more ease, efficiency and excitement. Decision-making is made easy by showing only options near you and, alternatively, generating a random destination, eliminating the need to sift through lists of “places to visit” online. The twist: only brief descriptions and categories of each destination are provided, with the name of the place revealed only you get there. Discover as you go, with Wunder.
