Having been assigned a piece of classical music, the brief asked to develop a visual interpretation of the song, using assets obtained through traditional mark making.
I received Boccherini’s “Minuet” and decided to portray its cheerful nature through the use pastel colours. The marks were created using markers and fineliners, which lend itself well to the vector nature of the project, resulting in flat colour shapes. I took a graphic approach using geometric shapes and lines as assets for the motion piece, which gives the project a slightly more modern appeal.
