Memories of Victoria
Like any other places I’ve visited, the city of Victoria in Canada had its special moments that for some reasons I will always remember. A tranquil life of the coasts, parks and streets full of the tourists in the summer and idle during off-season, museums, galleries and totem poles rejects all the negative aspects of the city. That is why I wanted to capture the feeling of the places where I enjoyed spending my time alone or with my friends, and keep these memories.
The process of composing the music for this piece was magically quick and spontaneous. It happened almost the same time when I finished editing a thousand of photos for the time lapse video.
Originally, I made this piece for a video class assignment, and it is my first experience of making time lapse videos.
Beautiful hiking trails, amazing wilderness of the west coast, Tofino, Cathedral Grove (even regular wandering on the streets!) and hundreds of other wonderful places... all this entwined together with an intricate pattern of neurons in my head.
I knew that eventually I will leave Victoria to a bigger city, and now these memories mean to me much more than just a school assignments.
