With Lucas Velle, this is an entry in ARCHMEDIUMS's international architectural ideas competition for a pavilion of culture in Basel, Switzerland.
This project aims to merge the experiential capacity of architecture with the constant feed-back of our digital devices. In response to the isolating nature of our devices, we are exploring how architecture can be both an experimental and communal medium for sharing information. The pavilion serves as a gallery and information hub by embedding a smart wall into the site. The wall is constantly updating its information on cultural events within Basel.
