UNDERGROUND DWELLERS (Awareness)

UNDERGROUND DWELLERS.

Have you every thought about how clean the London Underground looks. I did. But after a study into the Underground I found this not to be the case. Visually it seems almost perfect, but what we can't see is the PM2.5 (Particulate Matter) pollution which can be detrimental for those with respiratory issues after a period or exposure.
AIM - To make commuters and non commuters aware of the high levels of pollution in our (London) Underground, specifically PM2.5 pollution.

DESIGN - As an infographic I didn't want the illustration to be BOLD as the attention should be on the information, however enough so that it attracts the commuters attention. By illustrating a simple birds eye view of the underground and a journey it should become apparent to the commuter that that is where they are. Thus is some way making them not want to but need to read the info to really understand the issues of where they currently stand.

As a means of progressing and eradicating the issue (to a certain extent) I developed an algae swab, which commuters could wear or carry with them which intern would reduce the level of PM2.5 pollution in the Underground, as algae absorbs the pollution.
The Infographic is blunt and to the point to enforce the severity of the issue and to get the message across fast as the average person spends 47 minutes on the underground, however only 6 minutes of that are on the platform. I hope to spread awareness through this project.
