The project extends Dapeng Center Primary School to raise the school's educational capacity. The total floor area of the extension is 22 760sqm, including classrooms, teachers' offices, teachers' dormitory, multifunction room, canteen, indoor swimming pool, and two overhead basketball courts. 
    The goal is to create a variety of gathering and sharing spaces. We put the Swimming pool and Basketball courts on the same -1 level as the Multifunction room. This way, we allowed better interconnection of these functions and created one bigger common space between all these facilities. Also, the roof of sports facilities forms a platform that becomes a raised plaza and central open public space for gathering. Putting the swimming pool on -1 level allowed a continuous open space on the raised platform. Stairs with seating and greenery enable smooth transitions between different levels of the ground floor, upper plaza, and sunken plaza.
    Our proposal maximizes social spaces indoor and outdoor. Outdoor is a triple-level student plaza with stairs forming open auditoriums and greenery. Indoors are the spaces between classrooms that connect horizontally and vertically and provide wind, light, and shared rooms for socialization and less formal education, like workshops, homework, etc.
    Classroom and office building continues and forms one singular form with the teacher's dormitory. The idea is to shorten and increase the corridors and create spaces for sharing and non-formal education between the classrooms. Classroom spaces continue the existing building, so we positioned them right next to it. The teachers' dormitory is placed in the northwest corner and oriented towards the street to allow the highest possible level of privacy and separation from the educational part.
