The brief was to create an illustration for an editorial article from a magazine. I took a portion from Frankie Magazine, Issue 100 (March/April 2021) entitled ‘a mind of your own’, which is about the unique capabilities of our brains.
Taking key words and phrases such as ‘quantum computers’ that are ‘programmed’, ‘coded’, ‘hard-wired’, I created an illustration of a computer screen that represents the brain, with elements such as folders that represent our thoughts and feelings. I wanted to show that our brains function kind of like computers – sometimes they can overload, have a few errors, but nevertheless function as they were designed.
