The tiger symbolizes power, courage, confidence, and strength in Chinese culture. I used imagery of the rose, planet Neptune, and the color purple to compliment the 2022 Lunar New Year’s “Water Tiger”.

I chose to frame the white tiger with Neptune, as Neptune is also god of freshwater and the sea in Roman religion. Astrology characterizes Neptune with fantasy, inspiration, and dreams. The purple roses, indicative of mysticism, royalty and love, add to the tiger’s nobility and wonder.
