Build is a shelving system that wants to give the user almost all the freedom. It puts no restrictions on the height, width or the number of shelves! I am a strong believer of having options and multiple solutions. Inspired by build-your-own play tents, I wanted to create a piece of furniture that would allow innumerable combinations and choices. This way the users can picture the shelf they want, build it themselves, and most importantly have fun with it!
The connecting joint is a 3D printed plastic part, which has been created such that all the user needs to do is fit dowels and shelves in their slots, with no other means of attachment required. And of course, all the parts can be separated and rebuilt in another permutation!
