Angie's List Internship

Over the summer of 2013 I had the priviledge of working as the Graphic Design Intern in the marketing department at Angie's List.  Throughout the course of my internship I created print ads, web ads, and designed books for both digital and print publications all while staying within the guidelines of the Angie's List style guide.
Below is an ad that I designed to promote the "Once Upon a Home" contest hosted by Angie's List.  This promotion was designed for multiple platforms including; a printed magazine, website banners of varying sizes, and used on the Angie's List Facebook page.  In order to achieve a nostalgic, personal feeling in this advertisement I used the line drawing of a home and used watercolor paints to create the background texture, which I then photographed and implemented in the design.
I was assigned the task of creating a digital .pdf document that would be sent to potential new employees who would be relocating to Indianapolis to work at Angie's List.  I was provided with a creative kit that included stock images.  However, I wanted the brochure to be more personal and the stock images were very sterile.  So accordingly, I took it upon myself to take my own photographs of the work environment at Angie's List as well as some photographs of the city of Indianapolis and incorporated them into the brochure.
Below are examples of a web advertisement that I created in various sizes, maintaining the same aesthetic throughout.
This handout was distributed at the 2013 Indiana State Fair.  The design of this flier presented some interesting challenges.  Between establishing a hierarchy between the title and the bulleted body copy, I also was tasked with conveying to the fair goers where the Angie's List tent was situated within the fairgrounds.
