Donkey Kong Country 16-bit remastered — using an image from within the tree house at the beginning of the first course, I was able to recreate the image with a 21st look. This project allowed me to work on skills in photoshop and find new tools to assist my projects success. (Student work 2021) 

The 8-bit original work used as reference to create this design was 1x1 making the image that is already dated that much harder to see the smaller details. This was a challenge that had to be overcome when trying to recreate the image with the most accuracy possible. The other challenge faced when creating this design was finding imagery that could be used to create a cohesive 21st century image replication while bringing in the nostalgic essence that was used in the original 8-bit image.
