Midsummer Solstice in Sweden
For my inspiration i gathered a bunch of different swedish traditions and artist to really study what the essence of the holiday held. I wanted to really get a solid aesthetic for the entire project

For the thumbnails i was looking for good examples of Midsummer Solstice iconography in the swedish tradition, since this holiday is celebrated all over the world i wanted to make sure it got specific. Especially with the Herring fish being the centerpiece of the meal, the mugwort herb incorporated into the compositions, and scandinavian dress patterns that would be worn on the day as people dressed traditionally.
