Sean Fujiyoshi's profile

(College Portfolio) Interpretive garment design

This garment is a part of my project called "After Hanabi". "After Hanabi" is an homage to Nujabes, an amazing musician who passed away in 2010.

The garment is inspired by Jinbei, a Japanese summer garment that is worn at festive events such as fireworks.

This portion of the project was not achievable without the help of my colleagues. Special Thanks go to James Hong, a fashion major at OTIS College of Art and Design, who was my consultant for treatments and various techniques.

Pattern made from scratch, textile printed from Spoonflower.com
This is the first full body garment I've made in my life, and was quite an amazing experience!
